In this talk Hugo Vickers, a respected royal expert well known to Windsor Festival audiences, will take a look at the role of The Queen and the Royal Family in 2020, some of the challenges they have faced and also the effect of Netflix series ‘The Crown’. Vickers will explain why he is one of those who deeply disapproves of the series – his argument being that fiction can at its best illuminate the truth but should not pervert the facts.
