Nathan Meltzer, winner of our 2017 Windsor Festival International String Competition at the age of 16, is now fast establishing himself as a rising star across the world. Before the pandemic he was due to appear at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at this year’s Autumn Festival as soloist in Rutter’s Visions. We are delighted instead to give you this unique chance to hear Nathan perform from his home in the United States.
Playing on the ‘Ames, Totenberg’ Antonio Stradivari violin, he personally introduces us to a sensational programme of violin repertoire, including his first outing of the 'notoriously fiendish' Last Rose of Summer – a breath-taking, dazzling display of virtuosity.
