An extraordinary young talent, cellist Jonathan Swensen won our 2019 Windsor Festival International String Competition, alongside Young Concert Artists 2018 and the 2018 Khachaturian International Cello Competition.
From a beautiful church in his hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark this performance by Jonathan was recorded in front of a socially-distanced audience during the height of the pandemic, when restrictions had been eased there to allow an audience of 10. He presents a passionate performance of Bach’s 5th solo cello suite, and the fiery Ligeti Sonata for Solo Cello.
