This year’s Eton Boys’ Concert will be held in the stunning College Chapel and features the most advanced musicians in the school. The programme includes Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary by Henry Purcell, a tuba duet Moderato and Adagio by Walter Sear, and a performance of Handel’s Harp Concerto in B-flat major.
The school is welcoming a gifted young musician from Ukraine who will play in the concert, his first performance since arriving in the UK. We will also hear the school’s new Orwell Music Scholar play J.S. Bach’s Prelude from Cello Suite No. 3 in C major. A warm welcome is anticipated for these boys as they start their new lives alongside fellow Eton musicians.
