In his role as Ranger from 1952, and President of the Guards Polo Club from 1955, HRH the Duke of Edinburgh made an enormous and beneficial impact on the Great Park that we know and enjoy today.

On this leisurely 14mile ride, led by experienced volunteer cycle ride leaders from the Windsor Cycle Hub, we will venture along back roads and cycle paths rising gently into the park, stopping at quiet locations close to points of interest associated with The Duke.

Starting point: Assemble beside the seated statue of HM The Queen in Bachelors Acre park off Victoria Street Windsor.

End point: The Swan community pub in Mill Lane Clewer, Windsor, SL4 5JG where refreshments can be purchased, and a cycle escort and/or advice can be provided as necessary for the short ride back to the town centre.

Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours

Ticket price: Free (donations are welcome and can be made on the day if desired)
