A Choral Celebration

For more than seven decades the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has been at the forefront of music-making in the UK. Together with Windsor and Eton Choral Society, members of Taplow Youth Choir, Voci Chamber Choir and Quire Voices, they present two of the finest and best-known works ever composed for voice.

The first three movements of Beethoven’s magnificent Symphony No. 9 demonstrate superb orchestral writing, but the entire piece is crowned by the addition of chorus and soloists for the glorious Ode to Joy, whilst Mozart’s Coronation Mass brims with wonderful vocal melodies, most notably the beautifully moving Agnus Dei for solo soprano.
