Performance:
4.30PM Thursday, 28th March 2019
Dates:
Thursday, 28th March 2019

Take the rare opportunity to gain an insight into what goes into preparing for a concerto performance with orchestra.

Wolfram Christ, from our esteemed panel of international jury, will work with three of the 2019 WFISC semi-finalists in an intimate masterclass at The Old Court. Together they will explore how a player might prepare for a concerto performance for the first time with an orchestra and how to work with the issues of differing thoughts on interpretation between soloist and conductor. There will also be opportunities for questions from the audience.

Long-time Principal Viola with the Berlin Philharmonic and Lucerne Festival Orchestra, and Professor at Hochschule für Musik Freiberg, Wolfram is also highly regarded as a conductor who epitomises sincerity and musical integrity.
