Celebrated artist Hughie O’Donoghue will talk about his series of magnificent paintings known collectively as Seven Halts on the Somme.
Inspired by Eton College’s archive of First World War materials, these evocative paintings explore the ways in which remembrance and consciousness evolve, each painting connecting us to a location where the British Army was brought to a standstill during the Battle of the Somme.
The evening will include a special opportunity to view the paintings with the artist.
