To mark the centenary of the Armistice of World War I, The Choir of St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle perform music including works by composers associated with the Chapel.
A chorister in 1882, returning as organist and choirmaster in 1927, Sir Henry Walford Davies’ A Short Requiem was first published in 1915 ‘In Sacred Memory of all those who have fallen in the war’. Sir William Harris wrote Bring us, O Lord God for unaccompanied double choir in 1959 whilst organist, and For the Fallen was set by Zachary Roberts in 2016 when a pupil at St George’s School.
