An Evening with Princess Josephine Loewenstein; In conversation with Hugo Vickers

Talk
7.00PM Sunday, 24th September 2017

Princess Josephine Loewenstein has certainly enjoyed a life lived to the full.

A former ballerina, forced to give up her career because of her height, Princess Josephine had a childhood punctuated by privilege and austerity, spending much of the Second World War at Ledbury Park, her grandparents’ house in Herefordshire. Escaping to Rome and marrying Prince Rupert Loewenstein, she was introduced to a dolce vita lifestyle, as both participant and observer.

Spend a refreshing evening in her company as she casts a poignant look at the collage of memories, parties and people captured in her memoirs, Wind in My Hair.
