In the tranquillity of one of Windsor’s beautiful, but lesser-known churches, vocal ensemble Voci present this concert of choral pieces, recitations and organ music, played on the recently renovated J W Walker 1875 organ.
Featuring a piece by Zac Roberts, currently a pupil at St George’s School, Windsor Castle, and drawing on the theme ‘A Song for Peace’, the programme explores musical and poetic responses to conflict on the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele in Flanders, which claimed 275,000 Allied and 225,000 German casualties between July and November 1917.
