Dr Rob Shorrock, Keeper of Antiquities at Eton College, will open this event with a talk in the new Jafar Hall looking at the genesis of their Antiquities collection. Beginning life as a bequest of Egyptian artefacts by Major William Joseph Myers at the end of the 19th century, learn about the rationale underpinning the display and the discoveries made during more recent conservation activity.
A drinks reception will follow and the chance to enjoy a private view of the museum, housing displays of international significance, as well as to take in the stunning surroundings which form part of the Bekynton Field development opened in summer 2015.
