Eton: From Riverside to College

Performance:
11.00AM Wednesday, 23rd September 2015

Eton was a Saxon settlement long before a fortress was built on the riverside cliff at ‘New Windsor’, whilst the High Street is thought to have been built by order of William I as a highway between Windsor and his castle at Berkhamsted.

Join Hilary Thompson on this walk from Windsor Bridge to Eton College* to trace the development of the town after the establishment of the College through the interesting buildings lining the High Street and surrounding the world famous school.
