Founded by entrepreneur Thomas Holloway and opened by Queen Victoria in 1886, the Founder’s Building is modelled on the Château de Chambord in the Loire Valley. Its flamboyant architecture makes it one of the most impressive university buildings in the world.
After an insightful tour of the campus discover the treasures of Royal Holloway’s Victorian painting collection with Dr Laura MacCulloch, Curator, who will talk on the collection’s history as you take afternoon tea in the Picture Gallery.
