Mozart’s grandest sacred masterpiece is, without doubt, the Great Mass in C minor. The choruses are conceived on a masterly, almost monumental scale and the solo arias and ensembles, especially the arias for the two soprano soloists, are amongst the greatest vocal solos that Mozart ever wrote.
Here is an opportunity to hear this glorious work alongside one of the composer’s orchestral masterpieces – the well-known ‘Jupiter’ Symphony – and Haydn’s dramatic motet Insanae et Vanae Curae.
