This year, on 9th September, Her Majesty The Queen will become Britain’s longest reigning monarch, overtaking Queen Victoria.
To mark this exceptional anniversary, and as a gift to the people of Windsor, the Outdoor Trust has created The Queen’s Walkway. Connecting 63 points of interest around the town, this symbolic 6.37 km route recognises the 63 years, 7 months and 2 days that The Queen will, God willing, pass her great, great grandmother’s record.
The Outdoor Trust, whose predecessor body created the popular Jubilee Walkway and Jubilee Greenway walks for Her Majesty in London, will be leading this special inaugural walk during the Festival.
