Magna Carta 800th Anniversary Commemorative Walk

This walking tour of the historic Thameside meadow of Runnymede will explain how on 15th June 1215 King John was forced by his barons to agree to the Magna Carta, the founding document of English and American liberties.

Whilst there you can also expect to visit the Magna Carta Memorial, a gift from the American Bar Association in 1957, and the President Kennedy Memorial, standing on land gifted in perpetuity to the USA and jointly dedicated by The Queen and Jacqueline Kennedy in 1965.
